Leaders for change

Leaders For Change has a practical mission - “bring together generous leaders and caring community groups to aid human flourishing”.  You might think of us as a matchmaker.  Our goal is to inspire more support, given quickly and efficiently, so that more can be done.

Participants in Leaders For Change come from all walks of life.  They share a passion for service with a special focus on helping the “unsung heroes” and community groups who may not have the capacity to do much fundraising.

Leaders For Change is focused on helping people in the Oakville, Burlington, and Mississauga areas.

Our approach is simple, social, and supportive.  Leaders For Change solicits ideas from all its participants for supporting wonderful registered charitable organizations.  We focus on the smaller local organizations providing resources, support, and hope to local people. 

Three times each year we hold an event for all participants in Leaders For Change where three selected organizations can tell us about their work and how our donations will be used.  We encourage all our participants to step up for at least one full year and, hopefully, for many years to come.

The charity with the most votes will receive 50% of the donations and the other 2 charities will split the balance.  The ticket revenue goes directly to the chosen organizations along with information so that tax receipts can be issued by the organization receiving the donation.  All organizations will agree not to solicit further donations from individual participants.

Leaders For Change is a not an incorporated organization.  It is simply a group of community minded citizens who want to support better lives for all our neighbours.  No members of Leaders For Change receive any monetary compensation for their work.

Active participation in Leaders For Change has many benefits for its members.
